Rukmani cooker was invented by Thiru Somasundaram chettiar. He studied in Presidency college and came first in the university ranking. Even many north indians came to buy rukmani cooker. Rukmani is patty name. After pressure cooker came demand for this cooker vanished. We r happy and thankful for sharing this video. Best regards from his family

In the 70’s, I have cooked in this, we had only two, rice and dal..
We had brass and also aluminum, vessels in stainless
In early 60s this rukmimni cooker used to come in brass.
